September 15th, Cancella istruzioni. Facile da seguire. Nessun linguaggio gergale. Immagini utili. Non corrisponde al mio schermo. Istruzioni non corrette. Troppo tecnico. Informazioni insufficienti. Can you help? Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Thanks for the suggestions.

I tried the Windows Firewall Diagnostics using the link provided. They failed to fix the problem. I went to the guide, read the whole document but was uncomfortable downloading the "Windows Repair All In One " software that looked promising to address my issue. I probably would have done that if I hadn't found a fix elsewhere. The following instructions fixed the issue.

The Windows Firewall is now working again. When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. Txt and Extras. These are saved in the same location as OTL. Post both logs. That's the Windows Firewall started again - thanks so much for sorting this problem as I was getting close to the point where I'd thought I'd have to reformat and start again from scratch.

I really appreciate this! I'm not sure if I should create a new post for another issue which may be part of the same problem. Since the firewall went down, I've had no sound and have tried everything I know including new sound card and updating drivers, etc.

As you can see from the attached image, Windows is reporting 'No Audio Device' yet the device manager shows them properly installed.
